Louise Woody Smith, 85, of Franklin, passed away, Saturday, April 14, 2012.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Grover Woody and Allie Younce Woody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Smith; daughter, Judy Wyatt; three brothers, Harry, Frank and Roby; sister, Lois Farmer and granddaughters, Joy Harris and Jill Arrowood. Louise was a member of Burningtown Baptist Church and she enjoyed gardening. She was known in the community for making the best stack cakes.

She is survived by two sons, Bill Smith and Terry "Tom" Smith both of Franklin; two daughters, Pam Ledford and husband Steve and Jackie Beck and husband Larry all of Franklin; three step daughters, Lytha Hughes, Juanita Baker and Linda Henry all of Franklin; two sisters, Arcilla Henry of Franklin and Rosa Lee Barnes of Canton, GA; 17 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17 at Burningtown Baptist Church. Rev. Randy Drinnon and Rev. Mark Bishop will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 16, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Pendergrass, Jason Smith, Casey Smith, Harry Henry, Ben Woody and Daryl Love. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jana Smith.
