Obituary
Louise (Whitamore) Smith, 73, of Franklin, NC, formerly of Richmond, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at her home.
Born September 10, 1944, at Red Lick, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Harmon and Tommie Agee Whitamore, both of whom preceded her in death. Being the wife of an Air Force veteran, she had the opportunity to live in several cities, such as Loring, ME, Edwards, CA, and St. Petersburg, FL. She was of the Catholic faith and a retired assistant to the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg.
Louise is survived by her loving husband, Donald A. Smith, of Franklin; three children, Donald Smith, Jr., Michelle Smith Bardo, and Daniel Smith; six grandchildren, Anthony, Brittany, Patrick, Nicole, Breana, and Smith; four great grandchildren; one sister, Christine Breedlove; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews in the Madison County and Louisville area.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 28, 2018, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Richmond, KY, with Father Tom Farrell officiating. Burial will follow a committal service at 2:30 PM in the Mill Springs National Cemetery at Nancy, KY.
Visitation will be from 5 – 9 PM Wednesday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, 1110 Barnes Mill Road, Richmond, KY.
