Loretta Cabe McDonald, 69, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013.
Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Cabe and Bonnie Shephard Cabe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her dearly loved daughter, Lisa Marie McDonald Stepp. Loretta enjoyed sewing, crafts and canning. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and spent her life loving and caring for all the children she kept over 35 years. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, John "Jack" McDonald; a son, Michael McDonald and wife Sharon of Franklin; two step-daughters, Jackie and Brandy and their families all of Candler, NC; two brothers, Tommy Cabe of Franklin and John Cabe of Murphy; two sisters, Wenona Curtis of Franklin and Delores Mason and husband Eddie of Franklin; five grandchildren, Joshua Stepp, Jeremy Stepp, Jacob Stepp, Kaydence McDonald and Addison McDonald; five great grandchildren, Dalton, Catrina, Mellissa and Ivan O'Reilly Stepp and Bryer Blue Newman and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Fouts and Rev. David Powell will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Cabe, MaAron Cabe, Issac Cabe, Joey Curtis, Sam Kelly and Elijah Henry.
