Obituary
Loretta Fields, 74, of Franklin, entered into rest on Friday, June 17, 2005.
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Bernard J. Preusser and Loretta Bolan Preusser. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dolores Landing. She retired from C.J. Harris Hospital and was co-owner of Alpine Tobacco for 9 years. Loretta was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Frank B. Fields; four children, Diane Galloway and Deborah Holterbach both of Asheville, Mary Jo Fields of Franklin, NC and Susan Robb of Clayton, GA; two granddaughters and three grandsons.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, at St. Francis Catholic Church. Father Matthew Kauth will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ken Galloway, Brent Robb, Matthew Clark, Peter Morrison, Michael Gier and Jason Furry.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Catholic Church, 299 Maple Street, Franklin, NC 28734 or Angel Hospice Foundation, PO Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.
