Lois Laura Richardson, 83, of Franklin, NC, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2009.
Born in Virden, IL, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Gibson and Pearl Fish Gibson. Lois was a School Teacher with the Broward County School Board in Florida where she then became a guidance counselor and progressed to school psychologist until retiring in 1984 after 30 years of service. She was a member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church.
Lois is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jack Richardson; two sons, Allen Rothwell and wife Ruth-Amy of Oakland Park, FL and Daniel Rothwell and wife Mary of Oregon; step daughter, Dale Richardson of Belleview, Fl; step son, Ward Richardson of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Lyle Gibson of Charlotte, NC and Don Gibson of Pompano Beach, FL; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. Rev. Ron Odum will officiate. Burial will be in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Rothwell, Allen Rothwell, Herman Weits, William Laing, Albert Dilthey and Fred Spier.
