Obituary

Lois Faye Burrell Cabe, 89, of Otto, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012.

A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Lee Burrell and Texie Cheek Burrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Tommy Lee Cabe; a son Clifton Cabe; infant daughter, Joyce Cabe; three brothers, Clyde, Ray and Clifford and two sisters, Eula Cabe and Veo Cabe. During WWII she worked at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA. Lois had a green thumb; she enjoyed working with flowers and plants.

She is survived by three children, Martha Sams and husband Billy of Walhalla, SC, Steve Cabe and wife Teresa of Lancaster, SC and Billy Cabe and wife Paige of Sanford, NC; sister, Hazel Dufour of Otto; grandchildren, Cathy Littleton, Savannah Cabe, Lindsay Cabe, Cameron Cabe, Adam Cabe and Heather Cabe; two great grandchildren, Morgan Owens and Garrison Owens.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Alton Dendy will officiate. Burial will be in the Asbury Methodist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Jim Cabe, David Cabe, David Lawson Cabe, Donnie Carmen, Sean Bakkebo and Tim Brown.
