Lillie Stanfield Hastings, 82, of Cherry Log, GA formerly of Franklin, NC, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Beulon Stanfield and Hattie Guffey Stanfield. Lillie was married to the late Marshall Hastings who died in 1999 and was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Hastings who died in 1953. She was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church, Cherry Log, GA.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane Taylor and husband Tony of Franklin; two sisters, Margie Evans of Franklin and Ruth Holland and husband Chester of Black Mountain, NC; sister-in-law, Marie Schmoll of Franklin; brother-in-law, Vaughn Hastings of Franklin; two grandchildren, Sharon Nieland and husband Danny of Matthews, NC and Travis Taylor of Franklin; two great grandchildren, Ashlea and Heather Nieland of Matthews, NC and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the Maidens Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Travis Taylor, Clinton Taylor, Noah Hoover, Jerry Wilson, Tony Holland and Roger Williamson.
