Obituary
Lillian A. Herold, 92, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012.
Born in Long Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Herold and Madeline Grolz Herold. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Elsie Hadaway. Lillian lived in Annapolis, Maryland most of her life and worked for the Board of Education. She loved the water, where she enjoyed spending time fishing and sailing; she sailed the Chesapeake Bay.
She is survived by a sister, Grace Aydelotte and husband Roger Aydelotte Sr, of Franklin and nephews, Roger Aydelotte Jr of Franklin and Henry Hadaway of Oregon.
A private memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 16th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Hayes officiated.
Memorial donations can be made to Angel Hospice General Fund, 170 Church St. Franklin, NC 28734.
