Obituary
Lewis Russell Griffith, 84, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012.
Born in Pontiac, MI, he was the son of the late Roy and Ruby Griffith. Lewis was a US Army veteran and served during WWII.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Louise Overbaugh Griffith; two sons, Larry James Griffith of LaPeer, MI and Lewis R. Griffith Jr. of Franklin; three grandchildren, Chris Griffith, Nick Griffith and Michael Griffith and six great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
