Franklin, NC: On May 23, 2022, LeRoy Shane Lee passed from this life. Shane, who was born on August 20, 1981, was a great listener who thought about what he had heard and what he wanted to say in return before he ever commented. He had a big tender heart and could always be counted on to lend a hand whenever he could. Shane was one of those people who could do just about anything he set his mind to whether it be building, plumbing, or electrical work. He had a knack for repairing things and enjoyed a challenge. Shane was quick to learn different skills and also had worked as an auto body repairman and painter. Some might have called Shane a Jack-of-all-Trades or a mechanical genius, and he was gifted enough to own both of those titles. He was innovative and truly knew how to think "outside the box". Even though he enjoyed spending time on the river, his real hobby was fixing whatever was broken. Shane will be dearly missed by his big blended family which includes his mother, Donna Lee (Kurt Stewart); his children, Alexis Danielle Lee and Preston Cole Newsome; his brothers, Lance Jordon Lee (Christina) and Dustin Kyle McConnell; his grandmothers, Mary Frances Lee and Claudette Scruggs Burston; and his nieces, Piper Grace Lee and Ary Catalina Lee. Shane was predeceased by his grandfather, LeRoy Lee. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 27, at 2:00 p.m., at Burgess Chapel. Rev. Mozart Moliere will officiate.
