Obituary

Leo Nelson Grennier, 93, of Franklin, passed away, Wednesday, October 31, 2007.

Born in Little Falls, Minnesota, he was the son of the late Eugene Grennier and Clara Brousseau Grennier. Leo was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Plante Grennier who died in 1982; a sister, Gladys Machesney and a brother, Frank Grennier. He was a crane operator for Pontiac Motors. Leo was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and a life member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Nannie Louise Wallace Grennier; daughter, Dolly Waller of Franklin; son, Laverne Grennier of Franklin; three step daughters, Peggy Scott and Jean Swafford both of Franklin and Judy Shepherd of Tampa, FL; sister, Lotus Bellefuille of Little Falls, Minn.; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; seven step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 1, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Dryman, Rev. Gary McCoy and Rev. David Crunkleton will officiate. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Clarkston, Michigan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 3, at Coates Funeral Home, Waterford, Michigan. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Coates Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice House Foundation of WNC, Inc., PO Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.
