Obituary
LC Mathis, 84, of Cullowhee, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Johnny N. and Gertie Susan Mathis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Glaydale Cook and three brothers, Candler, Eugene and Elmer.
He is survived by two sons, Todd Mathis (Tammy) of Cullowhee and Johnny Mathis of Sylva and two grandsons, Davey Mathis and Daniel Mathis both of Cullowhee; six brothers, Newman Mathis (Ann), Everette Mathis (Virginia), Grady Mathis (Terry), Dale Mathis (Diane), Larry Mathis (Linda) and David Mathis (Rita); sister, Evelyn Prince (Charles) and several nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held at Balsam Grove Cemetery, Cullowhee.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
