Obituary
Lavonia Slagle Blind, 53, of Franklin, passed away April 4, 2007.
A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Earl Slagle and Elease Poole Slagle. She was preceded in death by a step son, Stanley James Blind who died in 1985. She was a member of Tellico Baptist Church and was previously employed at the Macon County Citizens for the Handicap.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Stanley Blind; one son, Chris Blind of Franklin; three step daughters, Stormie Thayer of Plant City, FL, Windy Amick of Tampa, FL and Tonya McCoy of Tiger, GA; one sister, Helen Lane of Franklin; two brothers, Bill Slagle and John Slagle both of Franklin; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at Tellico Baptist Church. Rev. Gary McCoy will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 6, at 955 Welch Road, Franklin, NC.
Memorial donations may be made to the Tellico Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
