Laura Jean Huggins Stidham, 71, of Glendale Heights, IL, entered into rest Sunday, May 7, 2006.

A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Reba Huggins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Huggins. She was a member of Burningtown Baptist Church.

She was the beloved wife of James Stidham for 51 years.

She was the loving mother of Donna Keefe and husband, Daniel, James, Jr. Stidham and wife Debra, Linda Talarico, Lori Sheridan and husband, Marc; grandmother of Amber Ashley and husband, Jamie; Ryan, Chelsea, Anthony "AJ", and Tripp; great-grandmother of Jolene and Gage; six sisters, Christine Welch and husband, Claude; Nadine Denny and husband, Charles; Ann Welch and husband, Glenn; Carol Lee and husband, Jim Mehta; Betty Harper and husband, William; Wanda Fouts and husband, Guy; and two brothers, Mitchell Huggins and Rass Huggins. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Burningtown Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Macon Funeral Home.
