Obituary
Laura Mae Postell, 80, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2019.
Laura was born August 19, 1938 in Topton to the late Arthur Herman Moose and Delores Lee Postell Montgomery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, who died in 1960, a half-sister and two brothers-in-law.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Horace "Arnie" and Abigail Braswell of Franklin; daughter and son-in-law: Velma Lee and Sheldon Jordan of Waltham, Maine; her six grandchildren who affectionally called her "Memaw": Horace "A.J." and Drew Braswell, Lauralee (Tim) Hanna, Shellee Rose Jordan, Sheldon Lee Jordan and Daisy (Jack) Wentworth; eight great-grandchildren: Jordan, Logan, and Leela Mae Rivera, Marcus Seidell, Alyssa Lee Smith, Bentlee, Bradlee, and Brailee Jordan; one sister; one half-brother and sister-in-law; two half-sisters and brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Red Marble Baptist Church Cemetery in Topton.
