Lambert Ransom Stewart, 81, of Cullowhee, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015.

Born in Jackson Co, he was the son of the late Lambert Ransom Stewart and Polly Williams Stewart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Buford Odell Stewart and Johnny Joe Stewart. Lambert was a member of Pine Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mavis Wagley Stewart; one daughter, Rebecca Lynn Stewart Loftin of Portland, OR; two brothers, Gene Earl Stewart of Brevard, NC, and Charles Stewart of Cullowhee; one sister, Bertha "Opal" Crandall of Cullowhee; two grandchildren, Trisha Lane Loftin Conn and David Lee Loftin and one great grandson, Luke Jamison Conn.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 28th at Pine Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny Norris and Rev. Scott Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
