Kevin Leigh Barwell, 56 of Franklin, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020.

Born in Buffalo, NY, Kevin was the son of the late Charles J. Barwell and Sharon Brennan Hunt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Stanley S. Hunt and a half-sister, Deborah Barwell Martin (Dan Martin). Kevin proudly served his country in the US Army. He enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors and could often be found camping, hiking, meditating and antiquing. He was of Pentecostal Faith.

Kevin is survived by his adopted mother, Betty McMahan; two daughters, Jessica Barwell of Girard, PA and Sarah Barwell of Bear Lake, PA; one sister, Christine Holden and husband, Robert of Powell, TN and half-sister, Gloria Neal and husband Larry of Benton, KY.

A graveside service will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, September 3rd in the New Savannah Baptist Cemetery, Savannah, NC. Rev. Harold Johnson and Rev. Mike Barres will officiate.

Pallbearers will be members of Men's Teen Challenge of the Smokies.
