Obituary

Kenneth Wilson Frazier, 93, of Union City, GA, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012.

Born in Americus, GA, on September 27, 1918, he was the son of the late Janie Lou Perry and Kenneth Augustus Frazier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Wilson Frazier. Kenneth was in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was formerly employed by Pan American Airlines, McClellan Jackson, and Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., from which he retired. He was a member of First Baptist Church in East Point, GA and Sunday School teacher for 21 years; worked with the Boy Scouts for 20 years; member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years; was a Shriner and active member of Gideon International for 30 years. Kenneth moved to Franklin in 1979, where he was a member of the Scottish Tartan Museum and an active member of Higdonville Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, painting, fishing, hiking and traveling. He and his wife, Nadine loved to travel and visited many locations, including Maine, Nova Scotia Canada, Niagara Falls, Calgary, Prince Edwards Islands, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Coast of California and the Coast of Mexico. They visited Crystal Cathedral, Hour of Power-Anaheim, CA, the San Diego Zoo, Tyler, Texas-Rose capital of the world, Dallas Museum and saw Kennedy's Statue. They visited all the Presidential homes and museums and visited Nashville's Grand Ole Opry several times. Kenneth played the harmonica and enjoyed playing for senior citizen groups, nursing homes, children and anyone who would listen.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Nadine Adams Frazier; two daughters, Nancy Carol Wayte of Casper, WY and Kathy Lynn Taylor of Tarpon Springs, FL; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Christian City Children's Home, 7345 Red Oak Rd. Union City, GA 30291.
