Homer "Kenneth" Carver, 76, of Franklin, NC, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009.
Born in Jackson Co. NC he was the son of the late Wayne Carver and Sarah McDonald Carver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Andrew and Frank Carver and sister, Clara Childers. Kenneth was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two daughters, Wanda Holbrooks of Franklin and Pam Mason of Gastonia, NC; three step sons, Alfred Gibson of Georgia, David Gibson of Texas and Tony Gibson of Franklin; step daughter, Judy Gibson of Franklin; four brothers, James Carver of Franklin, Bill Carver of Franklin, Hayes Carver Jr. of Franklin and Sherman Carver of Mt. Holly, NC; a sister, Bonnell Wilson of Sylva; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Lloyd Fish will officiate. Burial will be in the Cowee Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Mason, Denny Dills, Doyle Carver and Jeffrey Carver.
Austin Holbrooks and Joseph Holbrooks will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
