Katie Marie Crisp Green, 78, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013.
Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Iva Crisp and Della V. Bryson Crisp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Green and eleven brothers and sisters, Fred, Furman, J.L, Lawrence, J.W, Homer, Gaither, Iva Jean Dills, Elizabeth Clark and Virginia and Anita Crisp. Katie enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting and cooking for her family. She was a member of Windy Gap Baptist Church.
She is survived by two brothers, William "Bill" Crisp and wife Lynne of Franklin and Charles Crisp and wife Rada of Beattyville, KY; sister, Frankie L. Sanders and husband Dallas of Franklin and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 15th, at Windy Gap Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Bishop and Rev. Gary McCoy will officiate. Burial will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Sanders, Dallas Crisp, Darrin Crisp, Ken Crisp, Terry Crisp, Dewayne Ervin, Mark Cook and Johnny Crisp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Angel Hospice General Fund, 170 Church Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
