Obituary
Karol Edward Powell, 81, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011.
Born in Abbeville, GA, he was the son of the late Oliver B. Powell and Lottie Troup Powell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Asela Mendoza Powell and a son, Bruce Karol Powell. Karol was a US Army veteran. He was an electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He enjoyed oil painting.
He is survived by three children, Cynthia Truesdale of Ocala, FL, Christy Fountain of Clayton, GA and Michael Powell of Stewart, FL; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A private service will be held on Thursday, August 18 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
