Joyce Vivian Wilmarth, 82, of Durham, NC, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Born in Elon, NC, she was the daughter of the late Culyer Gosnell and Clara Dehart Gosnell. Joyce owned her own catering business; one of her greatest loves was cooking and creating many happy memories for her family, friends and clients. She was also a talented, certified floral designer; she enjoyed gardening and brought beauty to all she touched. She was a devoted and active member of Yates Baptist Church in Durham. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert "Bob" Allen Wilmarth; daughter, Beth Hensley, husband Robert, and their daughter Sydney of Franklin, NC; son, Paul Wilmarth, wife Lisa and his children, Clay and Paige of Holly Springs, NC and one sister, Stella Thomas of Gastonia, NC. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 24th at Yates Baptist Church, Durham, NC. Rev. Christopher Ingram and Rev. John Frederick, Jr. will officiate.
