Joyce Wallace Setser, 87, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Wallace Sr. and Ellen Beatrice Green Wallace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Andrew (Andy) Setser; son, Wallace Setser and brothers, Billy, Hilton and Robert. Joyce was a member and past treasurer of Louisa United Methodist Church; she was the first resident manager for Ulco Bluffs Apartments; and worked over 26 years for the Macon County Schools. She enjoyed word searches, watching the Atlanta Braves, playing cards, and spending time with the grandkids.

She is survived by her children, Gary Setser (Pam) of Franklin, Pam Hanak of Denver, NC, and Kathy "Jake" Morgan (David) of Franklin; daughter-in-law Donna Setser of Candler, NC; sister, Nannie Grennier of Franklin; brothers, Ernest "Sonny" Wallace Jr. and Donnie Wallace both of Franklin; seven grandchildren, Whitney (Jaren), Justin (Kara), Jacob, Felicia (Blake), Stephen, Kyle (Brooke), and Kayla (Thomas); eight great-grandchildren, Rett, Reagan, Andi, Graycen, Tucker, Isaiah, Owen, and Emma and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, February 16, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. David Crunkleton, Rev. Jason Smith, and Rev. Ronnie Branson will officiate. Burial will be in Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3:00 pm Saturday, prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Wallace, Larry Wallace, Bobby Wallace, Greg Wallace, Jeff Wallace, Harold Scott, and Ben Swafford.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Louisa Chapel Methodist Church building fund, in C/O Donnie Wallace 477 Louisa Chapel Rd, Franklin, NC 28734.
