Joyce B. Kehoe, 85, of Franklin, N.C., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, after a long fight against myelodysplastic syndrome.
She was born Jan. 24, 1930, in Richland, N.Y., the daughter of Ralph Wilbur and Chloe Phillips Blount, and grew up in Lacona, N.Y. After graduating from Sandy Creek High School in 1948, she married the love of her life, Richard J. Kehoe, on Aug. 29, 1948.

After retirement, they moved to Franklin, N.C., and joined Snow Hill United Methodist Church. She was involved in church and community activities in both her hometowns.
