Joyce Frances Farrell, 85, of Franklin, passed away August 23, 2011.
Born in San Antonio, TX, she was the daughter of the late Albert Switzer and Willie Pennington Dowd Switzer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Alberta Queen and Billie Smith and grandson, Chad Oakley. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Joyce enjoyed sewing and crafts.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Norman W. Farrell; three sons, Norman W. Farrell Jr. and wife Jeannine of Orange Park, FL, John Wantland and wife Judy of Carrollton, Texas and Duane Wantland and wife Bonnie of Orange Park, FL; daughter, Sandy Oakley and husband Jim of Chesapeake, VA; two step daughters, Debra Scarborough and husband Scott of Gastonia, NC and Paula Harris of Gastonia, NC; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, August 27, at First United Methodist Church. Dr. John Fowler and Rev. Margaret Freeman will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 26, at Macon Funeral Home.
