Joyce Marie Bumgarner, 69, of Cashiers passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020.

Born in Clayton, GA, she was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Peggy Rowbottom and Earl Buchanan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Bumgarner. She was a member of Yellow Mountain Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and genealogy.

She is survived by her children Julianne Christine Hall of Hudson, NC, Sabrina Moss (Greg Evett) and John Allen Wise, both of Lake Toxaway; one brother, Thad Buchanan (Melissa) of OR; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, February 29 at Yellow Mountain Baptist Church. Rev. Carl Stepp will officiate. Burial will be in the Evitt Cemetery, Cashiers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Jesse Harkins, Ethan Moss, Brady Wise, Greg Evett, Jeff Stewart and Jeremy Stewart.
