Obituary
Joy Kathleen Irons, 85, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010.
Born in Long Branch, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Robert R. Talley and Mabel Schmidt Talley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Milton "Mickey" Irons. She was an artist; talented illustrator and author of Books of Joy: God's Word Poems Series. Joy was a member of Franklin Covenant Church.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Irons of Franklin; two daughters, Bonnie Wolter of Otto and Dawn Curtis of Franklin; two grandchildren, Michelle Mason and Jeffrey Johnson and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 23, at Franklin Covenant Church. John Makinson will officiate.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
