Obituary
Joy Gray, 74, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2007.
Born in Asheville, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Horace Davis and Vera Inez Perry Davis. Joy was married to Homer Austin Gray who died November 23, 1998. She was a member of Iotla Methodist Church.
She is survived by five children, Robert Perry Mitchell of Tampa, FL, Bill H. Mitchell of Phoenix, Arizonia, Kathryn J. Wellons of Sebring, FL, Holly J. Piller of Greenville, SC and Kirk R. Mitchell of Clearwater, FL; three step children, Karen Chase of Tennessee, Charlotte Smith of Texas and Karen Creed of Florida; one sister, Mary Frances Wellons of Sebring, FL; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 29, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Donna Cobb will officiate.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lewis Rathbun Center, 121 Sherwood Road, Asheville, NC 28803 or John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center, 21 Belvedere Road, Asheville, NC 28803.
