Obituary
Joseph M. Switzer, 94, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011.
Born in Columbus, OH, he was the son of the late Frank Switzer and Gladys Jensen Switzer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helene Switzer who died in 1983 and a brother, Frank "Bud" Switzer. Joseph worked for the USPS as a postal data technician. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lantana, FL and member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Amy Switzer; a daughter, Susan Vanliere of Montana; three grandchildren, Tim Palermo of Florida, Leanne Roberts of California and Keri Hartman of Washington.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, at St. Francis Catholic Church. Father Tien Duong will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 5-6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 30 at Macon Funeral Home with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Memorial donations can be made to the Priest Retirement Fund at St. Francis Catholic Church.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
