Obituary
Joseph Michael Lopez, 75, of Franklin, went to be with Jesus, November 28, 2006.
A native of Porterville, CA, he was the son of the late Joseph Lopez and Mary Paredes Lopez. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Benjamin Lopez, Juan Manuel "Jack" Lopez and Arthur Eugene Lopez. Joe was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran. He was a member of Cullasaja Assembly of God Church and a member of the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Louise Evelyn Netter Lopez; one son, Dennis Lopez of Phoenix, AR; five sisters, Mary Edwards of Franklin, Margaret Rice of Columbia, CA, Deborah Nunn and Carol Collins both of San Lorenzo, CA and Billie Harris of Hayward, CA; two brothers, Stephen Louis Lopez and Gabriel Robert Lopez both of California; two step children, Teresa Raphael of Franklin and Lisa Lopez of Hayward, CA; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 16, at Cullasaja Assembly of God Church. Pastor Jim Cannon will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
