Obituary

John Aiken Sprinkle, 90, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2007.

A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late George Sprinkle and Maxine Henderson Sprinkle. John was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII and retired from Berkley Farms where he worked in general maintenance. He was president of t he Martinez Gun Club and member of the machinist union; he enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Louise Dills Sprinkle; two brothers, Lamar Sprinkle of Franklin and Dean Sprinkle of Granite Falls, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Dills and Rev. Don Moffitt will officiate. Burial will be in the Union United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Dills, Christopher Dills, Douglas Dills, Jr., David Lee Dills, Wayne Dills and Sammy Sprinkle.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
