Obituary
John Carroll Moore, 78, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013.
Born in Arlington, VA, he was the son of the late Christopher Henry Moore and Veronica McDermott Moore. John was a US Marine and served as Chaplain for the Marine Corps League. He worked in the Pentagon, loved to golf and was a great story teller. John was a member of Life Church of Franklin.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linnie Lynnette Moore of Franklin; eight children, Noelle Oblander and husband Tim of Asheville, Patrick Moore and wife Laurel of Orlando, FL, Elizabeth Raymond of Franklin, Michael Wood and wife Dana of Franklin, Benjamin Wood of Pahokee, FL, Ryan Moore and wife Missy of Port St. Lucie, FL, Julie Reynolds and husband Jim of Wellington, FL and Lorrie Moore of Navarre, FL; brother, Bob Moore of Williamsburg, VA; sister, Christine Courtright of Chapel Hill, NC and sixteen grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 16th, at Life Church of Franklin. Pastor Patrick Moore and Pastor Chris Hughes will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Life Church of Franklin, C/O Whistle Stop Mall, 1281 Georgia Rd, Franklin, NC 28734.
