Obituary
John Maloof Jr, 76, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ, he was the son of the late John Maloof Sr. and Lucille Webb Maloof. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Bob Maloof and sister, Maryann Steedly. John was a US Air Force Veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was very active in the Macon County Senior Games; played fast pitch softball for many years and was All-Region for two years. John retired as Senior Vice President of Barnett Bank. He attended Holly Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marjorie Hill Pennington Maloof; two sons, Jeff Maloof and wife Janine of Franklin and Jim Maloof of Longwood, FL; two sisters, Betty Drawdy and Patti Frost both of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Tom Maloof of L.A, CA and three grandchildren, Lindsey Johnson, Ali Greene and Tyler Maloof.
A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 29, at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Gerald Hicks will officiate.
