John Joseph Kapral Jr., 74, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011.
Born in Johnson City, NY, he was the son of the late John Joseph Kapral Sr. and Suzanne Matson Kapral. John was a US Navy veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He was an electrical engineer for Xerox Corp for 27 years; member of American Legion and Knights of Columbus. John volunteered for Meals on Wheels, Friends of the Greenway, Macon County Sherriff's Dept and formerly volunteered for Angel Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Kapral of Webster, NY; three children, Marlene Clements of Okeechobee, FL, Sheila Carroll of Webster, NY and John S. Kapral of Annapolis, MD; a sister, Marilyn Kumpon of Johnson City, NY; six grandchildren; one nephew and one great niece.
Memorial Service will be held in Binghamton, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Knights of Columbus, Saint Michael's Council 8363, 299 Maple Street, Franklin, NC 28734 or Hospice of your choice.
