John G. Hussey, 73, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2006.
Born March 7, 1933, in Jamestown, NY, he was the son of the late Carroll George Hussey and Elizabeth Klomp Hussey. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and worked as a wartime photo-journalist. He later worked in the Insurance Industry, a professional photographer and private investigator. John relocated to Franklin in 1985. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Franklin, a member of the American Legion and a lifelong member of ODD Fellows.
He is survived by his ex-wife and friend, Lyn Hussey of Franklin; five children, Mark Hussey of Orlando, FL, Robert Hussey of Franklin, Kim Hussey Sanders of Franklin, Jennifer Pendergrass of Franklin and Wendy Slaughter of Cedar Key, FL; sister, Jo-Ann Thorp of The Villages, FL; and eleven grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Allen and Rev. Maria Edmonds will officiate. Burial will be in Black Mountain VA Cemetery at 12 Noon on Wednesday, July 19.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, at Macon Funeral Home.
