John David Holt, 68, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015.

Born in Macon Co, he was the son of the late Glenn Holt and Meredith Garrison Holt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant son, David Coleman Holt and longtime companion and love of his life, Jane Dills who died in October 2014.

He is survived by two daughters, Gina Holt Sorrells and husband Mark of Summerfield, NC and Dionne Holt Sanders of Franklin; sister, Glenda Rice and husband Bill of Asheville and three grandchildren, Tanner and Austin Sorrells and Faith Sanders.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 14th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Tellico Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to one's favorite charity.
