John Davis Guy, 75, of Franklin, passed away Monday, May 7, 2007.
A native of Wrentham, MA, he was the son of the late John and Mary Davis Guy. John was a truck driver for over forty years and was a US Marine Corp veteran, serving in Korea. He was a volunteer driver for the Disaster Relief Ministry for the Southern Baptist Association. John was a founding member of the Train Collectors Association and was an avid collector of antique trains, toys and coins. He attended Holly Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, H. Jean Botting Guy; four children, Brenda Ferrara and husband, Austin, John E. Guy and wife Deborah Lee, all of Franklin, Donna Banks and husband, Stephen of Dunedin, FL, Julie Suemicht and husband, Brian of Greenbush, WI; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A joint Memorial Service for John and H. Jean will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Bethel United Methodist Church. Rev. Randy Campbell and the VFW Post 7339 & the American Legion Post 108 will officiate.
