Obituary
Joanne Lanell Deal, 88, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018.
Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Jake Palmer Deal and Aver Watts Deal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Thompson and brothers, Floyd and Frank Deal. Joanne was Baptist by faith.
She is survived by sister, Susie Wiggins (James) of Otto; brother, Fred Deal (Shirley) of Leasburg, NC; niece, Laura Clark (Rob); four nephews, Jamie Wiggins (Tina), Mark Deal (Jeanne), Tony Deal (Laverne) and Terry Deal (Mary Beth) and special care giver, Tammy Reynolds, who went above and beyond loving and caring for Joanne.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 26, at Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Judson Hall and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Wiggins, Rob Clark, Larry Hunnicutt, Jeff Clark, Mark Deal and Chris Myers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Deal and Terry Deal.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made at Holly Springs Baptist Cemetery Fund, C/O Karen Stiwinter, 481 Franklin Farm Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
