Obituary
Joann Herring Myers, 67, of Franklin, NC, entered into rest on Saturday, January 28, 2006.
A native of Rutherfordton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Thomas Herring and Gladys Upton Herring. She was preceded in death by a brother, Hubert Morton Herring who died in March 2005. Joann worked part time at Pizza Peddler in Franklin. She was a loving wife and was of the Wesleyan faith.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Charles Philip Myers; three daughters, Shelia Hook Houston of Gastonia, NC, Julia Myers Spalding of Palm Harbor, FL and Donna Myers McClellion of Anderson, SC; one son, Tracy P. Myers of Xiamen, China; one sister, Pat Wall Williams of Mooresboro, NC; eight grandchildren, Breanna, Ian, Whitney, Matthew, Sara, Grant, Graham and Mia.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Ernie Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1648, Franklin, NC 28744.
