JoAnn Crane, 57, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008.

A native and lifelong resident of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late John V. Cheek and Mary Louise Anderson Cheek Holland. Jo Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and treasured friend. She was a member of Prentiss Church of God.

Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Donnie Crane; two children, Daniel Crane of the home and Donna Crane Ledford and husband, Brandon of Franklin; two brothers, Johnny Cheek and wife Anita and David Cheek and wife Cindy of Franklin; six sisters, Bonnie Watson and husband Bobby, Joyce Cheek, Willie Jean Crane and husband Fred, and Wanda Parrish and husband Bobby, all of Franklin, Linda Turpin and husband Alvin of Clayton, GA, and Janet Scott and husband Gary of Franklin; three grandchildren, Braden, Jared and Charidy Ledford all of Franklin; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, Lois Huffman of Hickory, NC and Joe and Lassie Anderson of Longview, Washington.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Prentiss Church of God. Rev. Don Moffitt, Rev. Robert Dryman and Rev. Roy Lowe will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Rick Crane, Bryan Burt, Alvin Turpin, Everett Parrish, Matthew Scott and Billy Franks will serve as Pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Prentiss Church of God, P.O. Box 1713, Franklin, NC 28744.
