Joan Marie Walker, 77, of Franklin, NC, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011.

Born in Millville, NJ, she was the daughter of the late George Shepherd and Anita Robbins Shepherd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry Edward Walker Sr.

She is survived by five children, Mark Walker and wife Susanne of Highlands, NC, Jeffrey Walker and wife Martilynn of Highlands, NC, Harry Walker Jr. and wife Tamara of Murrells Inlet, SC, Debra Kerr and husband Mike of Delray, FL and Robin Walker of Clayton, GA; two sisters, Kay Denyes and husband Mike of Franklin, NC and Betty Raffa of West Palm Beach, FL; a brother, George Shepherd and wife Pat of Hobe Sound, FL and ten grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20 at St. Agnes Episcopal Church in Franklin, NC.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Delray, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Agnes Church or Hospice General Fund.
