Joan LaFelle Erbele, 71, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, May 04, 2011.
Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Fred Hobson Mincey and Bessie Young Mincey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Freda Henry and Billie Mincey and brother, Charles Mincey. Joan was a medical transcriptionist for CJ Harris Hospital. She was a member of Cowee Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Chuck Bailey and wife Tracy of Franklin and Jeff Bailey and wife Marci of Buchanan, TN; daughter, Su Chong English and husband David of Franklin; brother, Howard Mincey of Franklin; seven grandchildren, Levi Bailey, Jeff Bailey Sr, Josh Bailey and wife Cassie, Jeri Bailey, Johnathon Bailey, Amber Crisp and Adam Crisp and great granddaughter, Scarlett Bailey.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 9, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Dellenger will officiate. Burial will be held at Ellijay Baptist Church at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Levi Bailey, Jeff Bailey Jr, Josh Bailey, Johnathon Bailey, Adam Crisp, Mike Mincey and Chase Henry.
Memorial donations can be made to Memorial Mission Hospital Cardiac Unit, 509 Biltmore Ave. Asheville, NC 28801.
