Joan Kent Cartwright, 78, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015.
Born in Miami, FL, she was the daughter of the late Frank Kent and Anna Mosch Kent. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Alexander Cartwright. Joan was an avid gardener, enjoyed sewing and crafts. Her yard became a wildlife habitat for many of the animals she cherished. Joan was a member of Asbury Methodist Church and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by daughters, Alisha Ann Richardson of Gainesville, GA, Mary Margurite Loiselle of Milton, VT, and son, William Henry Cartwright of Tucker, GA; sisters, June Munro of Jupiter, FL and Jeanette Smith of Marietta, GA; cousin, Frederick Kent of Coral Gables, FL; two nieces, one nephew and eleven grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13th at Asbury United Methodist Church. Rev. Janet Greene and Rev. Kelly Dotson will officiate.
