Jimmy Mack Tippett, 84, of Whittier, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Johnnie Lee Tippett and Cleta Smith Tippett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Leona Tippett and two sons, Tony Mack Tippett and Burt Warren Tippett. Mack was a U.S. Army veteran and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by a daughter, Alecia Bradley of Otto; a son, Tommy Tippett of Marion, NC; two brothers, Joe Tippett and Eddie Tippett both of Franklin; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; two step daughters of Greenwood, SC, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, March 12, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Brandon Breedlove and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
