Jimmie E. Anderson, 76, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015.

Born in Macon Co, he was the son of the late Elbert F. Anderson Sr. and Annie Jane Womack Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Leotta Kirschbaum and Polly Stelzer and two brothers, Haven and J.B. Anderson. Jimmie was a US Air Force veteran and served as an Aircraft Mechanic for LTV Aerospace. He worked as a carpenter and enjoyed tinkering in his workshop.

He is survived by two daughters, Jamie Anderson Greene and husband Michael of Millers Creek, NC and Jill Starr of N. Wilkesboro, NC; two sisters, Kate Jacobs of Franklin and Fran Hamil of Asheville; one brother, Jud Anderson of Mtn. City, GA; six grandchildren, Amber Adank and husband Erik, Logan Wooten, Ashlyn Wooten, Jacob Wooten, MacKenzie Jo Starr, and Landon Starr; one great granddaughter, Gracelyn Adank and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31st at Union United Methodist Church. Rev. Janet Greene will officiate.
