Obituary
Jim Crane, 65, of Franklin, passed away January 7, 2011.
A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late Ervin Andrew Crane and Margie Hurst Crane. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Rich. Jim was an artist, craftsman, poet and loved to write. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two sons, Gary Crane and wife Nikki of Portland, OR and David Brabson and wife Kim of Franklin; step son, Eric Gibson of Baden, NC; sisters, Ruth Ann Stancil of Franklin and Virginia Hylton of Otto; brothers, Fred, Donnie, Larry, Tommy and Eddie all of Franklin; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 13, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. David Lee Williams and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
