Obituary
Jessie Duckett, Jr., 76, of Franklin, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013.
Born in Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Jessie Duckett, Sr. and Rachel Clark Duckett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Duckett. Jessie was a US Army Vietnam veteran, worked at the Macon County Recycling Center and enjoyed driving an 18 Wheeler and his motorcycle. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Morgan Duckett; three children, Erin Duckett and fiancé Rickey Collins of Franklin, Joe Duckett of Augusta, GA and Angie Hadden and husband Keith of Augusta, GA; two step children, Kimba Nichols of Pisgah Forest, NC and Michael McGinnis of Asheville; brother, Bobby Duckett and wife Gloria of Greenville, SC; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 6, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Matt Morris will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
