Jeffrey Claude Reece, 58, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016.

Born in Spokane, Washington, he was the son of the late Jethro Reece and Mary Trull Reece. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William David Reece; brother, James Reece and sister, Donna Wyatt. Jeff was a US Army veteran. He loved hunting, fishing and enjoyed football. Jeff finished 3rd in state wrestling at Thomasville High School as a freshman.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Betty Hastings Reece; two sons, Keith Reece of Ft. Walton Beach, FL and Tyler Reece of Franklin; five brothers and sisters, Daniel Reece of Canton, NC, Donald Parris, Jr. and Billy Parris both of Darrington, WA, Jane Lovingood of Wilmington, NC and Carol Teague of Belmont, NC and several nieces and nephews.

No services are planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help pay for funeral expenses.
