Obituary
Jean E. Stone, 77, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2007.
Born in El Paso, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Frank Gravel Smith and Elizabeth Baes Reihl Smith. A member of St. Francis Catholic Church she was active in the choir and loved to volunteer at church.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Richard Stone; four children Albert Cauwenberghs of Plantation, FL, Dennis Cauwenberghs of Lake City, FL, Barry Cauwenberghs of Montana and Joy Yates of Anchorage, AL; two brothers, Frank Smith of Florida and Richard Smith of New York; sister, Denise Collins of Waynesville, NC; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 1, at St. Francis Catholic Church. Father Matthew Kauth will officiate.
A Rosary Service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, August 31, at Macon Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the Rosary Service until 8 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Catholic Church, 299 Maple Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
