Jean "Dude" Ellen Stanley, 61, of Franklin, NC, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010.

Born in Macon Co., she was the daughter of the late James Monroe Stanley and Jessie L. Franks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, James, LeRoy, George, D.C., Bill and Cecil Stanley. Dude was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and attended Macon Citizens for Handicap.

She is survived by her seven siblings, Frank Stanley, Bonnie Holbrooks, Mary Sue Ledford, Chester Stanley, Fred Stanley, Robert Stanley and Harold Stanley all of Franklin; her earthly angels who cared for her, Florence Crawley of Franklin, Donna Collins of Sylva, Mary Margaret Brown of Murphy and Debbie Woods of Sylva and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 29 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Fouts and Rev. Guy Duvall will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28 at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Stanley, Steve Stanley, Chucky Stanley and Justin Stanley, Cody Allen and Jeremy Stanley.

Randy Stanley and Kyle Stanley will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
